By car, it is approximately 21/2 hours from the Kansas City, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri areas. Moonie's is an ideal place for a relaxing getaway and an excellent alternative for business people looking for a more personal stay.
Closed for 11 years, the resort was renovated and reopend in 1998. Today, the resort sits on 34 acres, including 1,200 feet of shoreline, offering plenty of beautiful space to stroll and relax. Six R.V. hook-ups are available for campers. Moonies restored two of the original cabins and offers six new cabins. Each cabin is surrounded by the beauty of the Ozarks without the usual crowds, offering solitude from one's hectic life.
Our area features excellent fishing as well as great boating and skiing. Or perhaps a stroll on the grounds, viewing nature at its best, is what you require for renewal. Moonies Restaurant and Lounge sits on the shoreline and offers fine food and drink with live entertainment periodically for your enjoyment.
